The 17th Annual New York State Cyber Security Conference (NYSCSC ’14) and 9th Annual Symposium on Information Assurance (ASIA ’14)  held June 3-4 , 2014 at the Empire State Plaza, had record-breaking attendance, with 1,134 attendees.   Recognized as the premier Northeast conference for cyber security education, the event was co-hosted by the New York State Office of Information Technology Services Enterprise Information Security Office, the NYS Forum, Inc., and the University at Albany's School of Business and College of Computing and Information.

Michael Daniel, Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator provided the keynote “The Administration’s Perspective on Cybersecurity” on June 4.  Members of the Governor’s Cyber Security Advisory Board engaged in an interactive discussion of current challenges facing the information security community for the June 3 keynote.

New to the Conference this year were two training classes on Cyber Incident Analysis and Digital Forensic Incident Response, a live cyber challenge (Panoply),  and a mobile event guide.  Conference sessions covered a wide range of timely themes and topics.
