The risk for fire in most areas of New York State is currently high due to high winds and dry conditions.

NOTE: According to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, ALL residential brush burning is PROHIBITED in smaller communities during the State's historically high fire-risk period (March 16 through May 14).
