Stolen Vehicles with Incendiary Device
On November 17, 2007, officers of the Prince George's County PD, Maryland seized a stolen Ford sedan. Upon inspection, the vehicle was discovered to have a quick start incendiary device located in the glove box. Previous similar incidents have exposed a new trend. Suspects will steal a vehicle and keep it in a secreted location for a period of time before retrieving the vehicle and using it to commit robberies. Once the crime has been completed, the criminals will set the vehicle on fire to destroy any and all evidence within.
