The NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) internship program is designed to provide highly talented and motivated undergraduate students the opportunity to gain real world experience in a professional homeland security and emergency services agency. DHSES has partnered with the University at Albany's College of Homeland Security, Emergency Preparedness and Cyber Security (CEHC) and is committed to providing research and training opportunities to its students. DHSES interns bring diverse backgrounds and new perspectives to address the challenges of the 21st century and work to enhance the security of New York and the nation. Who is OFPC?

The Office of Fire Prevention & Control (OFPC) advances public safety through a wide range of services with an emphasis placed on developing local capacity, while concurrently delivering directly, highly technical and specialized services to our citizens and client groups when it is prudent and proper to deliver such at the State level. OFPC's main goal is the effective and efficient delivery of essential fire and life safety protection to all New Yorkers.
