There's Snow Place like the SPTC...EMS Special Situations Winter Edition
December 15, 2014
On December 9-10, the SPTC/NCSP delivered the EMS Special Situations (Winter Edition) Course to a class of EMS professionals from around New York State. Students learned how to manage unique emergency situations they may come across during the winter months in New York, using their EMS basic level skills. Students were fully engaged in a series of scenario-based activities made more challenging by the winter weather, including a wintry mix of snow, rain, and sleet, with strong winds.
The SPTC/NCSP are piloting new EMS courses in 2015. See the DHSES Training Calendar at http://www.dhses.ny.gov/training/calendar/ for the latest information. Interested agencies and individuals should contact the SPTC at firstname.lastname@example.org or (315) 768-5689 for more information.
