National Center for Security & Preparedness

The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) has developed valuable relationships with several state agencies, federal training partners, and other organizations in its efforts to develop a world class State Preparedness Training Center (SPTC) for first responders. The Division's collaboration with the National Center for Security and Preparedness (www.albany.edu/ncsp) has been particularly fruitful.

The Center is affiliated with the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany, State University of New York. The Center's Director and subject matter experts have developed several courses for DHSES and provides valuable input regarding both the design and operation of the SPTC facility. DHSES strongly supports efforts to have the Center admitted to the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (www.ndpc.us).
