Who We Work With

During emergencies, we partner with other state agencies to support those affected in all of New York’s 62 counties.

Paid Holidays and Leave

When you work for DHSES, you receive 13 paid holidays each year; 13 days of paid vacation leave initially; five days of paid personal leave each year; 13 days of paid sick leave each year (PEF/CSEA), which may carry over from year to year; and up to three days of leave each year to participate in professional development events.
