Cyber Incident Response Team
The Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) was created in 2017 in response to a substantial increase in cyber-attacks on government and critical infrastructure. CIRT works with its partners in the Critical Infrastructure Unit and the Division of Military and Naval Affairs to provide state-of-the-art services to local governments, non-Executive state agencies, and public authorities. CIRT provides both cyber incident response and proactive cybersecurity services, such as cybersecurity risk assessments and training, at no cost to eligible entities.
STATEWIDE SHARED SERVICES
New York State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP)
As part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) of 2021, Congress established the State and Local Cybersecurity Improvement Act, which established the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) appropriating funds to be awarded to states and territories.
