COAD and VOAD
Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) are comprised of community partners or local components of national organizations. The focus of these entities is preparedness for residents and communities during blue sky days and response and recovery supports during ongoing events. These groups work closely with and augment Emergency Management efforts.
